Spider-Man: Web of Shadows returns gamers to New York City, where the wall-crawler has to save the Big Apple once more...
Marvel's wall-crawling, web-swinging superhero, Spider-Man is set to make his one millionth appearance* on the current crop of consoles in 2008, in Spider-Man: Web of Shadows.
The game, which is currently in development at TreyArch and Shaba Games, is destined to hit every platform on the market, including the PC and handhelds. News of the upcoming title was made by Activision to entertainment site, IGN.
Returning gamers to New York City like a tear in time/space, Web of Shadows will apparently provide players the chance to shape the adventure as they see fit. Various characters from both sides of the Marvel Universe will be making appearances throughout the storyline, and Spidey will get to choose whether to side with a particular super-hero or super-villain as he sees fit.
Web of Shadows is the eleventh Spider-Man game from Activision in just seven years, with the character virtually more prolific than EA's FIFA franchise...Mr Parker must be exhausted, so why not give him a bit of a break after this one, eh Activision???
*slight exaggeration, but it does seem like it...

Good game, though a weak plot. What is best about the game is you can switch to black spidey anytime anywhere were as SM3 you couldn't.

That Spider-Man intro made me do a double take, shame the rest of the game wasn't up to much.

Yeah fair point, SSMB did have quite a funky intro.

I am suprised Super Smash Bros: Brawl didnt make the list. Of course, the graphics arent on par with alot of the other games mentioned. But the SSBB intro was still epic... I got the game at Midnight on the release date, and was blown away by it!
