Disney Reveals Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals Details News

Taking one or two ideas from Nintendo's Pokemon, Disney Interactive Studios' today released further details on the forthcoming sequel to its hit DS title Spectrobes.

Continuing the story of Rallen and Jeena's (playable this time around) archaeological exploits, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals follows the origins behind the appearance of mysterious portals that lead to distant dimensions.

Introducing a wealth of new features including a new three-dimensional perspective, a much-needed map, new excavation and battle features, more creatures and a full online battle system, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals also includes Disney's DGamer technology.

"Spectrobes has become an international sensation," said Craig Relyea, senior vice president of global marketing, Disney Interactive Studios. "By continuing to build on its enthralling story, unique gameplay features and memorable characters, Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals will continue to thrill fans. This second game is part of our plan to expand the series in the coming years."
