Bare Knuckle (Japanese version)

Unlock Vectorman and Vectorman 2, and accumulate a total of twelve hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection. Then, play Bonanza Bros. at least once, or play a combination of any other games over thirty times to unlock Bare Knuckle.

Bare Knuckle 2 (Japanese version)

Unlock Vectorman and Vectorman 2, and accumulate a total of twelve hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection. Then, play Bare Knuckle at least once, or play a combination of any other games over fifty times to unlock Bare Knuckle 2.

Bare Knuckle 3 (Japanese version)

Unlock Vectorman and Vectorman 2, and accumulate a total of twelve hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection. Then, play Bare Knuckle 2 at least once, or play a combination of any other games over seventy times to unlock Bare Knuckle 3.

Bonanza Bros. (Japanese version)

Unlock Vectorman and Vectorman 2, and accumulate a total of twelve hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection. Then, play Vectorman 2 at least once, or play a combination of any other games over twenty times to unlock Bonanza Bros..

Vectorman

Have a saved game file from Sonic Heroes or Sonic Mega Collection Plus on your memory card to unlock Vectorman. Alternately, accumulate a total of five hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection.

Vectorman 2

Accumulate a total of seven hours of game play time in Sonic Gems Collection and play Vectorman at least once to unlock Vectorman 2.

Hints

Allow a game to idle for over three hours to unlock the "Hints" option in the "Extra" menu.

Unlocking Museum games

Play Sonic Gems Collection once every day and accumulate over 24 hours of game play time. Then, start the game 30 to 70 times to unlock the different end Bosses to many classic Sonic games that you can play.

Unlocking Museum bonuses

To unlock most of the pictures in the Museum, just start each of the main games five or ten times. Then, play each one for a few hours. Just leave the game idling; you do not have to be actually playing for that amount of time.

To unlock the playable endings, three movie trailers, and the last picture in the museum faster, change the day portion of the PlayStation 2's system date. For example, change August 25, 2005 to August 26, 2005. Then, start the game. Once you go to the museum you will have more playable endings and/or movie trailers unlocked. Repeat this process until you have all three movie trailers and sixteen playable endings in the museum. This will also get you closer to unlocking the final illustration.

Unlock full versions of game demos

Once you have unlocked all the playable ending demos, use the following trick to unlock their full game counterparts. Go to Sonic The Hedgehog (either version), Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball, Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, or Sonic Chaos. Keep intentionally killing Sonic until you are out of lives. The game will end, then restart at its own title screen. From there, you can start at level 1 of the game and play until the timer reaches zero.

Bare Knuckle 3: Play as Ash

Immediately after giving the ending hit to Ash, hold Square until the next part of the level starts. Then, intentionally lose all your lives. Choose to continue and Ash will be a selectable character.

Bare Knuckle 3: Play as Shiva

Immediately after giving the ending hit to Shiva, hold X until level 2 starts. Then, intentionally lose all your lives. Choose to continue and Shiva will be a selectable character.

Bare Knuckle 3: Play as Victy

Only defeat the clown during the Boss battle at the end of first part of level 2. Then, intentionally lose all your lives. Choose to continue and Victy will be a selectable character.

Sonic CD: Time Attack mode options

Successfully complete the game, then restart the game in "Time Attack" mode. The following options will be available if the "Time Attack" game can be completed within the corresponding time limit.

Sonic CD: Music test

Successfully complete "Time Attack" mode within 37:27:57. A "D.A. Garden" option will appear to the left of the "RAM Data" option on the main menu. The Planet of Mobius will be displayed.

Sonic CD: Play bonus levels

Successfully complete "Time Attack" mode within 30:21:05, then press Left at the "Time Attack" screen.

Sonic R: Play as Mecha Knuckles

Collect all five coins in Radioactive Factory, and finish in first, second, or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Knuckles in a race to unlock him.

Sonic R: Play as Mecha Robotnik

Collect all five coins in Regal Ruins and finish in first, second, or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Robitnik in a race to unlock him.

Sonic R: Play as Mecha Sonic

Collect all five coins on Resort Island and finish in first, second or third place. Then, defeat Mecha Sonic in a race to unlock him.

Sonic R: Play as Puppet Tails

Collect all five coins in Radical City and finish in first, second, or third place. Then, defeat Puppet Tails in a race to unlock him.

Sonic R: Play as Super Sonic

Collect all seven Chaos Emeralds from the first four courses. To collect a Chaos Emerald, you must collect it and finish in first place in that race. Then, press Down while highlighting Sonic at the character selection screen.

Sonic R: Play as robot form character

Get the five Sonic coins in one of the following levels to play as the robot form for the indicated character:

Sonic R: Alternate title screen

At the course selection screen, press Up or Down to move closer or farther away.

Sonic R: Skip credits

After completing the game with any character, hold Square or Circle and press Start to skip the credits.

Sonic Spinball: Skip to Boss level

Enter the options menu and select the "SFX" option. Play sounds 0, 2, 1, 5, 6, 6 (in order). If you entered the code correctly, the screen will shake. While playing the game, press X + Square + Start to enable the code.

Sonic Spinball: Sonic-Zilla

Sonic Spinball: No gravity

Tails' Sky Patrol: Hidden options

At the title screen, hold Up + X and press Start.

Vectorman: Cheat mode

At the Vectorman options menu, press Square, X(2), Square, Down, Square, X(2), Square. Another options screen with level, health, lives, and power-up weapon settings will appear. Note: The good ending cannot be achieved if cheats are enabled.

Vectorman: Level warp

Move Vectorman below the Sega logo screen and shoot it 24 times. Jump and hit the logo with Vectorman's head 12 times. The phrase "Get Ready" will appear, then each letter in "Sega" will begin to fall. Collect 90 to 109 letters to warp to level 5. Catch 110 or more to warp to level 10.

Vectorman: Full health

Pause the game and press Square, X, Right, Square, Circle, Square, Down, Square, X, Right, Square.

Vectorman: Free movement

Pause the game and press Circle, Square, Left(2), Square, Circle, Square, X. Vectorman will transform into a cursor that can be moved to any location in the level. Opponents, except for Bosses, are eliminated if they are touched by the cursor. Repeat this code to disable its effect. Note: Enable this code when Vectorman is a bomb for invisibility and invincibility for the remainder of the level.

Vectorman: Slow motion

Pause the game and press Down, Right, Square, Circle, Up, Left, Square. The game will slow down when Vectorman is hit. Repeat this code to disable its effect.

Level bonuses

Successfully complete a level without shooting any targets for a point bonus. Successfully complete a level without using photons for a photon bonus.

Vectorman 2: Level select

Pause the game and press Up, Right, Square, X, Square, Down, Left, Square, Down.

Vectorman 2: Full health

Pause the game and press X, Square, X, Square, Left, Up(2).

Vectorman 2: Transform

Pause the game and press Circle, Square, Left(2), Down, Square, Down repeatedly until the sound of the orb weapon stops. Press Start to resume the game as a Fire Ant. Repeat this code to transform into a Shield Bug. Note: Playing the bonus rounds as a Shield Bug will result in invincibility.

Vectorman 2: Extra life

Pause the game and press Right, Up, X, Square, Down, Up, X, Down, Up, X.
