Yuji Naka confirms goodies for the GameCube port of Sonic Adventure.

Sonic Team head-honcho Yuji Naka, recently confirmed to the Japanese gaming press that the forthcoming Sonic Adventure DX would contain a host of Sonic goodies.<br><br>Naka-san confirmed that Sonic Adventure DX will contain as many of the old GameGear Sonic titles as they can squeeze onto the disc; that list includes the likes of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic & Tails, Sonic & Tails 2, Sonic Spinball, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Blast, Sonic Chaos and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble – quite a few games!<br><br>The decision to port such an old title originally caused a lot of confusion; sure Sonic Adventure is better then the sequel, but why port such an old title? As further details filter through of 2004 being the ‘year of the hedgehog’, a clearer image is appearing. <br><br>We know that Sonic Team hope to release at least two new and original Sonic games this year alongside Sonic Adventure DX and Sonic Mega Collection; despite the relatively small GameCube user-base Sonic Team seem adamant to keep the Sonic titles on this platform, and hope to make Sonic synonymous with the GameCube in the same way that it was with the MegaDrive during the 90’s – with Sonic Mega Collection and these, the GameCube is certainly the format of choice if you’re a Sonic fan.<br><br>We’ll have more news on Sonic Adventure DX soon…
