Reports from GamesCom suggest that a SingStar: The Beatles game is being readied for release next month...
Sony is readying an instrument-free port of Harmonix's Rock Band: The Beatles for its SingStar series, sources at GamesCom have told industry site MCV.
SingStar: The Beatles, which is being published by MTV Games and distributed by EA, will be an exclusive for Sony's PS3 and will come bundled with SingStar mics according to the report.
A release "within days" of Rock Band: The Beatles' worldwide launch on September 9th has been indicated for the title.
UPDATE: Harmonix has posted a comment on its forums stating that SingStar: The Beatles is nothing but rumour, which would certainly make sense as it would be a strange decision to reveal a game a matter of weeks before it's due for release. We're going to take Harmonix's word for it until we see an official press release announcing the game from MTV Games and Sony.
