Pirates! set to be published by 2K Games under new agreement with FIRAIXIS Games...
In a joint statement 2K Games and FIRAXIS Games have announced that they have secured a deal that will see Take-Twoâ??s latest label publish Sid Meierâ??s Pirates! in Summer 2005 on Xbox. The deal follows previous news that the two companies had agreed to publish Civilisation on Xbox through 2K, with both titles appearing around July 1st 2005.
"It's very exciting to strengthen our relationship with FIRAXIS Games, a development studio that consistently produces games of the highest quality and with mass consumer appeal," said Christoph Hartmann, Senior Vice President of Publishing for 2K Games. "Sid Meier's Pirates! makes an excellent addition to the 2K Games summer lineup and we also look forward to expanding our catalog of products with the Civilization titles."

The Xbox version will include some console exclusive features besides its basic implementation of Live(scoreboards and future downloadable content) with the inclusion of several multiplayer mini-games for up to four players to participate in.
The statement also confirms that the Xbox version of Pirates! will be playable at E3 â?“ weâ??ll have more soon...

great open play giving lots of choice on what to do next, the non linear approach makes this a true pleasure to play Maybe a bit difficult having so much choice for the muppet above

i bought sid meiers pirates for the psp and the game sucks soo much. First of all the graphics suck and the storyline is terrable. I wish i never got it because its a hunk of junk game.
