Online entertainment publication speaks to Ritual on the possibility of taking the episodic title to the next-gen consoles...

With the first of nine SiN Episodes recently released, cult online publication Ain't It Cool News has posted an interview with Ritual Entertainment's Vice-President of Development, Tom Mustaine about the venture.

Besides discussing the dynamic difficulty in the game (that allowed professional gamer Fata1ity and an unnamed FPS newcomer finish within fifteen minutes of each other), and the news that SiN community stats will determine certain aspects of future episodes including the fate of some characters, Mustaine also spoke about the possibilities of the game appearing on the next-gen consoles:

"We're gunna do a 360 version at some point in the future. We haven't finalized those plans yet so I haven't really announced it yet. But we will be doing it. We also are hoping to be doing a Playstation 3 version as well. We were looking at Marketplace for the 360 because episodic on Marketplace would make a lot of sense."

So SiN: Episodes may not be heading to the next-gen consoles in the immediate future, but at least Ritual are toying with the idea of keeping it episodic (and digitally distributed) when the time does come.

We'll have more on SiN Episodes shortly...
