TellTale Confirms Sam & Max Season Pricing News

Pioneers of episodic gaming and digital downloads, TellTale Games today announced a radical pricing structure for the looming return of Sam & Max.

With the first episode available on November 1st, after an exclusive release on the GameTap service from October 17th, Sam & Max fans can choose between purchasing individual episodes for $8.95 (£4.95) or the entire season for $34.95 (£18.54).

Episodes 2-6 will follow suit, with each episode debuting on GameTap 15 days before becoming available on the TellTale website. Episode 2 is due to arrive in December, with subsequent episodes arriving monthly and stand-alone machinima shorts bridging the gap in between.

"We want customers to be able to get Sam & Max the way they want it, when they want it," says Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "One of the biggest benefits of the episodic model is the flexibility it provides. We've listened carefully to what this audience wants from an episodic game, and as a result, Sam & Max: Season 1 is the first series with episodes released so frequently and affordably."
