Beta rolls out from March 15th...
Zipper interactive has announced details of the Bomb Squad multiplayer mode that will be available in its forthcoming SOCOM 4 Beta.
In a post on the official US playstation Blog, Community Specialist Chris Roper revealed that team members would need to guard their Bomb Technician while he defuses explosives planted around the map. The technician carries an automatic shotgun and mobile grenade launcher, but is vulnerable while neutralising the insurgent bombs.
The SOCOM 4 Multiplayer Beta will also include the Suppression, Last Defense and Uplink competitive multiplayer modes, all of which will be playable on the ‘Port Authority’ and ‘Assault & Battery’ maps. A private beta launches on March 15th, with PlayStation Plus subscribers gaining access on March 23rd in Europe, and Killzone 3 beta code holders invited to join from the 29th. On April 6th the beta will be made freely available to the great unwashed over PSN.
