The game manual for Mirror's Edge reveals a January 2009 release for EA's next Skate game...
With the original Skate being released in September of last year, EA is now set to pull a sequel out of the bag only 16 months later as Skate 2 prepares to hit shop shelves during January of next year.
At least that's what IGN is reporting having already received retail copies of Mirror's Edge, which advertises a January 2009 release for Skate 2 in its game manual. EA later confirmed this release window according to the report.
The first game won critical acclaim for its innovative 'Flickit' control system, which arguably creates the most intuitive controls ever realised in a skating game.

I'm sorry but you're wrong - skate is the perfect solution to far too many years of derivative Tony Hawk's - I wish they'd never gone to open worlds.
