SEGA confirms a PSP adaptation currently in development with FlatOut's creators...
After earlier reports, SEGA today confirmed the development of SEGA Rally for the PSP. Surprisingly SEGA has opted for the unproven yet undeniably talented team at racing specialists Bugbear Entertainment to port the experience to the PSP, a decision that seems strange given Sumo Digital's strengths with the format and previous relationship with SEGA.
"The original SEGA Rally is heralded as one of the all time great video games and this new instalment on the PSP is a great example of updating a classic perfectly for today's machines," said Guy Wilday, Studio Director, SEGA Racing Studio. "With the addition of multiplayer Wi-Fi and online multiplayer, there's scope for players to show off their skills against their friends, whilst the excellent PSP screen exudes all the visual qualities expected of SEGA Rally".
Promising to remain faithful to the core elements of bumper-to-bumper competitive racing, fun handling and amazing visuals, SEGA Rally on the PSP has been designed from the ground up to suit the handheld. Nevertheless, fans of the resurgent giant will be hoping that this, along with Nights, are handled with the care and respect that the resurrection of iconic SEGA franchises deserve.

This game is far better reviewed than I would have expected, fun, lacks damage, and finally a splitscreen. Also someone doesnt think its any good, so you can pick it up preowned for £20

Been enjoying this a lot. I think it compares very well with the PS3 offering; it's a different take on the same game, designed with the target platform in mind. The loading times great a bit though.

Good game with nice graphics. Worth buying but lacking a bit in depth. Very similar to GBA top gear rally.

Can you SHIFT GEARS or is it all AT? The only car setup option is Tire Selection?

This game is great, the handling of the cars reminds me a lot of good old Gran Turismo 2, which is the best in GT series in my opinon.
