The next instalment of the oval-ball game is announced by Electronic Arts...

Just a week after the end of the Rugby Union Autumn Internationals (ending with a triumphant Welsh victory over the Wallabies, I hasten to add), EA has today announced that Rugby 06 is currently under-development for Xbox, PlayStation2, and PC.

The game, which is bring developed by Rugby 2004 and 2005 creators, HB Studios and EA Canada, is set to feature a range of tournaments including the Six Nations, Tri Nations, Super 14, and the British Lions together with some of the worldâ??s most recognisable stadia such as Twickenham, Millennium Stadium, and Murrayfield.

Rugby 06 currently has no release date; weâ??ll have further coverage of the title shortlyâ?¦
