Rock Revolution Set-List Leaked??? News

By Gwynne Dixon on 05/08/2008

A fairly convincing set-list for Konami's upcoming rhythm game has seemingly been leaked...

As the battle of the bands begins to simmer, leaked track listings for either Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, or Rock Revolution (Konami's newcomer to the fraternity) are becoming a weekly occurance.

The latest rumoured set-list comes from a Kotaku report, where an anonymous tipster has apparently got their hands on some official Konami documentation that reveals the full list of tracks for Rock Revolution.

This particular rumour seems fairly convincing when you compare it to the fanciful Guitar Hero: World Tour list that did the rounds last month, but there are still some 'bangin' tunes' to sing your teeth into.

It'll be interesting to see how accurate these rumours are when the battle of the bands reaches boiling point this autumn. Konami did state that there would be around 40 tracks in its original announcement of Rock Revolution and the list below totals 41. However, there have been suggestions that the whole set-list will be cover versions rather than master recordings:

All The Small Things - blink-182 Chop Suey! - System Of A Down Cum On Feel The Noize - Quiet Riot (Slade) Dance, Dance - Fall Out Boy Detroit Rock City - Kiss Dr. Feelgood - Motley Crue Highway Star - Deep Purple Holy Wars... The Punishment Due - Megadeth Pull Me Under - Dream Theater Somebody Told Me - The Killers Spoonman - Soundgarden Stone Cold Crazy - Queen The Joker And The Thief - Wolfmother Spirit Of Radio - Rush We're Not Gonna Take It - Twisted Sister White Room - Cream Youth Gone Wild - Skid Row Dirty Little Secret - All American Rejects Last Resort - Papa Roach Round And Round - Ratt Still Of The Night - Whitesnake Are You Gonna Be My Girl - Jet No One Like You - Scorpions Diary Of Jane - Breaking Benjamin Blitzkrieg Bop - The Ramones Falling Away From Me - Korn The End Of Heartache - Killswitch Engage Run To The Hills - Iron Maiden Walk - Pantera Heading Out To The Highway - Judas Priest Won't Get Fooled Again - The Who Pain - Three Days Grace All My Life - Foo Fighters Am I Evil? - Diamond Head / Metallica Bad Reputation - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts Our Truth - Lacuna Coil Sk8er Boi - Avril Lavigne Kiss Me Deadly - Lita Ford Magic Man - Heart Paralyzer - Finger Eleven Given Up - Linkin Park

Similarly to Guitar Hero World Tour and Rock Band 2, Rock Revolution will boast both guitar and drum peripherals. However, unlike Activision and Harmonix's games, Rock Revolution will not feature a microphone peripheral.

It's doubtful unfortunately. There are signs that Harmonix and Activision are bringing down their blockades over peripheral compatiblity, but Konami is unlikely to have peripheral cross compatibility for the first generation of Rock Revolution games.
