Responding to our earlier article, MTV Games has provided TVG with an update to the Rock Band situation...
Typically when we seek a comment from a publisher it often comes in the form of a "no comment on rumour or speculation..." However in the case when we didn't seek one, we end up with a comment!
Responding to our earlier article regarding EA Games' statement surrounding their future involvement with Rock Band, an MTV Games/Harmonix representative provided the following statement:
"The previously announced Green Day: Rock Band will be published by MTV Games and distributed by EA. Stay tuned for news of MTV Games' other titles soon."
EA's comments came during a conference call following the publisher's third quarter financial results. "We've got a strong relationship and we haven't incorporated it because we don't presently have an agreement for FY11 new titles," John Riccitiello, EA CEO claimed.
