More Full Albums Coming To Rock Band 2 As DLC News

Rock Band 2 will continue where Rock Band 1 left off with more downloadable full albums on the horizon...

Adding to a trend that was set in the last few months of Rock Band 1's tenure, Rock Band 2 will offer even more full albums as downloadable content following the game's US release next month.

MTV Games told Entertainment Weekly that over 500 tracks will be made available to Rock Band 2 gamers by the end of the year, and among them will be the following full albums:

Foo Fighters - 'The Colour and the Shape' Jane's Addiction - 'Nothing's Shocking' Red Hot Chilli Peppers - 'Blood Sugar Sex Magik' Megadeath - 'Peace Sells... But Who's Buying' Stevie Ray Vaughn - 'Texas Flood'

There will also be a specially compiled best of No Doubt collection, which will join the pre-existing full albums from Rock Band 1's archive of DLC that includes Judas Priest's 'Screaming for Vengeance', 'The Cars' by The Cars, and The Pixies' 'Doolittle'.

"We're surprised by how many people opted to get full albums," said Paul Degooyer, the Senior Vice President of MTV Games. "But it's a good value proposition. Talk about something that's been lost and forgotten."
