Developers behind Rise & Fall, Empire Earth and Empires: Dawn of the Modern World shut up shop...
A posting on a Rise and Fall fansite has revealed shocking news that Stainless Steel Studios could no longer be in existence. The posting claims that development on Rise & Fall: Civilisations at War was nearly complete and that the team was in good spirits, so the news comes as a surprise and itâ??s not yet known whether the Midway title will ever emerge given the situation.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Midway were unwilling to fund development during the period until the delayed release in February 2006, leaving Stainless Steel Studios unable to continue.
As fans will no doubt realise TVG has previously partnered with the team to bring Developer Diaries on the title so the news is a little surprising to us, weâ??ll hopefully have clarification from the studio or the future of Rise & Fall from Midway soonâ?¦
