Capcom officially announces a raft of new Resident Evil titles for Nintendo's Wii...
As well as Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, which was revealed in a Famitsu scan earlier this week, Capcom is also planning two further Resi games for Nintendo's Wii that will be remakes of Gamecube classics.
The Gamecube exclusive Resident Evil Zero, as well as the remake of the original Resident Evil for Nintendo's ill-fated previous-gen system, will both appear under a 'Classics' banner for the Wii.
Capcom didn't announce any release date details for these two titles, although the publisher did state that they will be remade to take advantage of the Wii Remote and its innovative motion controls. A great value price was also mentioned briefly.
The Darkside Chronicles was given a release window, however, with Capcom slating the title for release this winter. As previously suspected, the game will be a sequel to Umbrella Chronicles, utilising the same on-rails shooting gameplay but with a new Evade system thrown in for good measure.
As the Famitsu scans suggested, Darkside Chronicles will feature Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, and will be set in the timeframe of Resident Evil 2.
