Following the success of the Resident Evil 4 Wii-make that has led to the revival of Resident Evil 0 (in Japan at least), Capcom today confirmed that its on-rails Wii shooter, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, has surpassed 1 million sales.
The latest title in a series that has shifted over 34 million copies worldwide, the Resident Evil franchise has maintained its success since its first appearance in 1996. Following last year's Hollywood blockbuster Resident Evil Extinction, Capcom are working closely with Sony Pictures Entertainment Japan to develop a full-length CG movie.
Funnily enough, the series recent success on a Nintendo format follows the series creator Shinji Mikami's infamous decision to team up with Nintendo to release Resident Evil titles exclusively on the Nintendo GameCube, a decision that ultimately cost him his position at the famed Japanese publisher.

Well they could certainly use the RE4 engine to do it - the Shiva AI may not be as good in that version, but I think it's probably technically feasible.

Rumors tell that RE5's Producer would like to make a new Resident Evil for Wii.
If capcom made a port of Dead Rising, they can do the same for RE5, Texture shrinkage and polygon reduction can do the job. The same was done at SNES/GENESIS era, it can be done again!

I'd like umbrella chronicles to have a face off at the end between all the survivors of previous resident evil games ,and all the enemys and the victims e.g richard aiken, enricho marini, kenneth hallway ,hunters, tyrants and maybe even Lord Saddler.
