Capcom's Chris Kramer states that Resident Evil 5 will be included in a "fantastic year" for the publisher...
Chris Kramer, the Director of Communications and Community at Capcom America, has suggested that Resident Evil 5 may be released during 2008.
Speaking to Xbox Live's Major Nerlson, Kramer named Resident Evil 5 among a list of titles that would feature in the upcoming year for the publisher.
"We have a really fantastic year ahead of us. A year that's going to include games like Bionic Commando, Resident Evil 5..." said Kramer.
This certainly hints at a 2008 release for Resident Evil 5. Whether Kramer is referring to the calendar year or the financial year is unclear, but he is certainly excited about the game having had a look at it recently in Japan:
"When we start seeing more of [Resident Evil 5] - start letting people go hands-on with it, people are going to flip-out."
Kramer was also enthusiastic about Capcom's future, saying: "It's really interesting, the next two to three year period for Capcom is probably going to be the biggest couple of years in this company's 30 year history."

My only problem with RE5 was how short it was, so I hope this expansion comes out on PC.
Also, the people who are INTERNET ANGRY about this game require too much to be happy and will probably be miserable with everything in life.

Epic Fail. That was the lamest piece of sh*t I've ever read in my entire life ! Do not any under circumstances listen to this sh*thead ! This one's going to feature a lot of puzzles, and it's confirmed that it's a survival horror. Spoiler ***** You have to actually use puzzles to kill a certain "boss." Oh and you'll see what happens later about your weapons later. "Shanking" the enemy to death is probably impossible, but hey, I gave you a hint.
Just don't take that dumbass's word for itThis is going to be great. Try it, buy it, play it, enjoy it.

With the emphasis on action in Resident Evil 5, clunky controls are a bit of a problem. I'll agree they are a trademark charatceristic of the series, but if Resident Evil is headed further down a Gears of War route, then it needs to be looked at.
Personally I'd rather they kept the controls and toned down the action in place of some added significance on the puzzle count...

What a load of abject [#@!?]e, "the clunky controls can be excused" theyre supposed to be clunky genius its how the resident evil games are meant to feel. As are the menus. I for one as a die hard fan would be seriously pissed off if the controls and menus were changed. fair point about the puzzles tho, im guessing they were removed to allow for coop play.
