Resident Evil 4

The success of Capcom's Resident Evil 4 continues as today the Japanese publisher picked up a prestigious Yellow Pencil at The D&AD Global Awards 2006. A UK charity that champions excellence in global creativity, the awards have been setup to recognise the very best in design, advertising and creative communication, and are judged by the world's leading creative practitioners.

2006 marked the first year that videogames have been acknowledged with their own category by D&AD, with Resident Evil 4 picking up the accolade of Outstanding Achievement. D&D President Dick Powell commented: "The D&AD awards celebrate innovation and creativity across many different media and we are really pleased to now include videogames. With Resident Evil 4 Capcom has certainly set a high standard for future nominees."

Activision and Sony Computer Entertainment also picked up Black Pencil awards for Call of Duty 2 and God of War respectively, whilst Nintendo earned a Yellow Pencil for its handheld title, Nintendogs.
