The sequel to 2005's Red Steel will retain the series' Wii exclusivity and add Motion Plus support...

The next instalment in the Red Steel series has been revealed, with early indications being that the title is set to retain the Wii exclusivity of its predecessor but will include Motion Plus support this time around for added sword swiping responsiveness.

This news comes from the incoming issue of Nintendo Power in the US, the cover pages and contents of which have been splurged all over internet forums with a tagline to the cover story that reads: "Finally, wielding a sword in a Wii game feels as real as you'd always dreamed!"

That's pretty much it for now. More as we get it...

I think we'll find it's not a very good game, though if they market it aggressively it will probably do a million.

Maybe if Capcom released more quality RE titles, instead of on rails crap or Wii Editions of old games like RE4.

I also would be more interested to see Red Steel in the same style as the last game, but wish they took the time to develop good visuals this time around and used the Wii's full power.

Cel Shaded is cool, I'm just not expecting much either

Hopefully, Red Steel 2 will deliver on the promises of its predecessor...but as it's a core game on Wii, I'm sure it will be in the shadow of endless party games...and Wii Fit!
