Take-Two Interactive pushes Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption into its 2010 financial year...
As part of its Q2 financial report, Take-Two Interactive has announced that Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption will now release in the first half of its 2010 fiscal year (i.e. between November 1st 2009 and May 31st 2010).
"Mafia II and Red Dead Redemption are now scheduled for release in the first half of fiscal 2010 to allow additional development time for the titles and to maximize their full potential in terms of the quality of the player experience and market performance," Take-Two stated in its financial report.
Both titles had previously been slated for late 2009 launches but Take-Two's amendment now suggests that they won't see release until early 2010 at best. An official post on the Mafia II website has already stated that the game has been moved to a launch period "early in 2010".

If you mean open world/sandbox then you're in luck - Red Dead Redemption is entirely open like GTA now.

I really really hope this comes out on the 360, since thats what I have. Red dead revolver, in my opinion, was the best game ever made. Better than halo, GTA, or any of those series. if this comes out on the 360 im gonna squirt.

I think taking red to the wii will not only turn the game into something that it isn't through the wii remote, I own a wii s i speak from expience; releasing red dead revolver on the wii would be like creating time crisis clone with the clunky nunchuk rather than the Guncon.
