Rumour and speculation indicates that Activision has put a Bond game back into development as 'Bond 23' gets green-lit...

Following news that 'Bond 23' will go into production later this year after an extensive period of uncertainty surrounding the movie's future, reports are now indicating that a shelved Bond game has been put back into production by Activision.

According to Deadline, a Bond videogame project that had previously been held back due to financial troubles at MGM has now been given the go-ahead. The film studio ran into trouble last year after it failed to attract suitors to its potential sale; MGM's creditors subsequently handed control of the studio to Spyglass Entertainment.

If these reports are accurate, it's likely that this Bond game is in development at Activision's Raven Software studio. A show reel from a Raven Software animator that emerged last year appeared to reveal an early build of a Bond game, although this footage has subsequently been pulled from the web.

Does anybody else think that the samurai guy slicing up the fly is much more tantalising than the Bond stuff, or is it just me?
