A new Rainbow Six 3 offering heading to the Xbox later in the year, featuring full Xbox Live! 3.0 support...
Given the continued success of the Rainbow Six franchise, it comes of no surprise to learn of a new Xbox title in the series currently in development at Ubisoft Montreal.
Rainbow Six 3: Black Arrow is scheduled for release in August 2004, and improves upon Rainbow Six 3 by offering new single and multiplayer missions, new online modes, split-screen co-op play and a host of new features.
More importantly Black Arrow will be the first Xbox Live! title to support the new Xbox Live! 3.0 features, so players can create their own tournaments, along with Messaging features and clan statistics.
The game also introduces a lobby as a throwback to the Red Storm days, allowing players to develop tactics and strategies before embarking in online matches.
Once again players will take control of a four-man international anti-terrorist squad, as they infiltrate a ring of nefarious terrorists and halt their bloody quest for weapons and power.
In addition we can expect improved AI, as opponents will now call for backup and use hostages as human shields; whilst the new online modes are believed to be â??Capture the Pointâ?? and â??Capture the Flagâ??.
Weâ??ll have a closer look soon.
