Ubisoft pushes back Eugen Systems' RUSE to a September release following beta feedback...
Upcoming World War II RTS, RUSE has been pushed back to September following feedback from the game's public beta, despite Ubisoft nailing down a June 4th release date for the title earlier this year.
Judging by a list of fixes (from the game's Facebook page) that Eugen Systems is currently working on, it certainly looks like the developer is intently listening to fan feedback by going back to polish RUSE across the board:
- The multiplayer menus and filters
- The unit selection
- The order assignment
- The unit behavior and pathfinding
- The strategic AI behaviour
- The anti-lag policy and kick system
- and the game balance of course
Nonetheless, when we went hands on with the closed beta last year, we were certainly impressed by what we saw. We'll keep our eyes peeled for more details as they emerge...

Sounds interesting - like the idea of the ruses. Will remain sceptical about the console versions though.
Also...why "R.U.S.E." ??? Another acronym...and another daft expanation for it.
