US reports hint towards the UK studio's first Activision Blizzard title based on the Bond franchise...

Courtesy of EGM's Quartermann rumour column it seems as though Activision Blizzard's first stab at the Bond license will fall under the capable hands of Bizarre Creations.

It was originally believed that TreyArch would be handling the project, presumably after the run of Spider-Man movie adaptations came to an end with the release of the third title. Backing this up is the fact that a James Bond image is clearly visible on TreyArch's 'In Development' section.

Famous for the Project Gotham Racing series and given Activision's desire to crack into the racing genre being the prime motivator behind the purchase of Bizarre Creations, it seems like a slightly odd match-up. Although Bizarre do have experience outside of the racing genre with SEGA's forthcoming shooter The Club and past titles such as Fur Fighters.

Bizarre Creations have previously worked on two titles at a time so it's entirely possible that there is some truth to the rumour, although perhaps they're merely helping out with the project by making sure Bond's Aston Martin feels like the real deal. AS EGM seems to suggest they could also be working on a separate Bond title with a penchant for action behind the wheel.

TVG contacted Bizarre Creations for a comment on the rumour but has yet to receive a reply, so keep checking back to find out as soon as we know more.

Goldeneye was great at the time SegaBoy, but FPS games evolved very quickly back then. In a year halflife was out, then halo a couple of years later. I dont hold out much hope for an activision bond title to be honest.

I got to admit, Goldenyee is a classic that I just can't get. Sure it brought multiplayer FPS to teh consoles, but I'd been doing that for years on Doom, Duke Nukem, etc...
