The bloodiest frag test is coming to a Dreamcast near you!

With the Dreamcast version of Half-Life shown only in video form at the E3 convention centre, it was up to ID and Quake 3 to show the punters exaactly how good a shoot'em up can be on a home console. That in mind it was up to Sega to make Quake III one of the most important parts of their stand and boy did they do that.

People gueued for ages for some blasting fun on Quake III at the Sega stand, not only were there 12 machines running the game, but Sega showed to us their commitment to online gaming by ensuring that Quake III was playable across the Internet. The look on the faces of the people that played Quake III on dreamcast really summed it up. Fantastic!

The people in charge of developing the conversion from PC to Dreamcast are Raster Productions based in the US. They still have a few months work on their hands to make this one as great as the PC version but it certainly is coming along nicely.

Once the Network is finely in place people will be able to log in from around the world and play Quake III, here's the best bit. Not only will you be able to play just over Dreamcast Quake 3 players but also PC Gamers, sounds fun. All I can say is Console guys get some practice in those PC guys kick ass when its First Person Shoot'em ups.
