Ubisoft dates the Steven Gerrard branded Pure Football for a May 28th release in the UK...

As the World Cup draws closer, Ubisoft has dated its footie offering for the tournament by nailing down Pure Football for a May 28th release in the UK, two weeks before the greatest tournament on earth kicks-off on June 11th.

This news comes from Ubisoft's latest release schedule, which also details a June 4th release for the trailing PC version of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, the console versions of which will launch on May 21st.

Pure Football (featuring Steven Gerrard) will go up against EA's 2010 FIFA World Cup as the accompanying footie games for the tournament, and our review of EA's bid for the trophy is due to go up later today so keep your eyes peeled...
