The studio behind The Club and Project Gotham confirms its acquisition by Activision...
PGR4 hasn't raced onto shop shelves and we're all waiting to join The Club, but that hasn't stopped Liverpool-based Bizarre Creations from announcing that they are no longer an independent studio. In a quite frankly surprising (dare we even say, 'bizarre') move, the outfit has been acquired by Activision. There will be no redundancies, and the studio will remain as 'Bizarre Creations', with news that the outfit will remain creatively independent from its new parent company.
Offering reassuring words that the studio "...isn't a developer in financial trouble, and we're certainly not looking to be "saved" by a bigger corporation..." Bizarre has announced that despite the news, they're continuing to put the finishing touches to The Club for SEGA. PGR4 is already in the can.
In the official statement, Bizarre Creations stated that the acquisition by Activision was a "...pretty incredible chance for Bizarre to improve ourselves and make the most of all the fantastic new opportunities..." and announced that production will shortly begin on two titles (one a racer), with estimated releases after fiscal 2009.
Microsoft owns the PGR brand, so it doesn't mean that Kudos Points will be heading to PlayStation 3 anytime soon, but the departure of Bizarre from the franchise will no doubt be a cause for disappointment to the Redmond firm...perhaps Forza developers Turn 10 will take up the mantle?

PGR4 is easy, the bikes are good, but they reach there top speed too easy and the sound is annoying, the fact that you can't buy cars and use that specific car in any championship sucks, that's what made me go back to PGR3, and the sunny weather setting is more of a storm setting in PGR4. to be honest the bikes are better than the cars this time round, the cars seem a little weighted. and thave replace some of the good cars from PGR3 with crap ones. and the fact that they haven't sorted the aston martin dbr9 race car engine and exhaust noise pisses me off, it sounds nothing like the car in real life, the game version sounds like a crappy motorbike.
