Previous announcements that each car has around 80,000 polygons are just wrong, according to Bizarre...

In their latest community update, Project Gotham Racing 3 developers Bizarre Creations have announced that they were previously wrong with the tally of 80,000 polygons used to create each car in the Xbox 360 title (made up of 40,000 internal and 40,000 external.)

Instead the figure actually ranges from an even more impressive 85,000 polygons right up to an astounding 105,000 polygons. Wary of any detractors, Bizarre also confirm that those figures donĂ¢??t include the extra polygons used for car damage, which can add anything between an extra 10,000 to 20,000 polygons to a car!

Now looks aren't everything, but it has to be said that PGR3 is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the Xbox 360 raft of launch titles; you can read our Hands-On preview with the game here.
