PES 09 Licenses Revealed News

Man Utd and Liverpool joined by the likes of Porto, Barcelona, and Zenit St. Petersburg - and the new Wembley...

Konami has today revealed the line up of licensed clubs featured in the upcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2009, which is heading to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation in just a few weeks time.

We already know that Manchester United and Liverpool are there, but the publisher has announced the likes of FC Porto, Inter Milan (but seemingly not AC Milan), Zenit St. Petersburg, and Barcelona. In addition, the Dutch Eredivisie and the French Ligue 1 will be featured in their entirety.

On the international front, Northern Ireland joins the rostrum along with several unnamed 'others', whilst the new Wembley Stadium makes its PES debut with the Stade de France, and the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 is due to arrive on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on 17th October, followed by versions for PlayStation 2 on 30th October, and for PSP on 6th November. A version of the game for Wii is due in 2009.
