Jack Thompson: Double Dare You News

It seems the name Jack Thompson is mentioned more frequently within the pages of videogames websites and blogs then even the likes of Mario and Sonic these days. Generally it's in a derogatory tone typically reacting to the latest quip from the man with a crusade against all things fun, or perhaps invoking a reaction such as that of yesterday's statement by Running With Scissors CEO Vince Desi.

Now to promote an even standing between both parties, TVG was today contacted by Mr Thompson, daring us to print a challenge the Florida based attorney has laid down before Vince Desi to debate the issue, with the suggestion that the "great philanthropists" Penny Arcade can cover the costs.

So we got to thinking, why shouldn't this matter be brought out into the open and dealt with. Unfortunately all attempts to contact Vince Desi have met with no reply, so it seems the raging slanging match will continue - perhaps that's the way they like it across the pond???

So there you go Jack we rose to the challenge. Don't dare us again...
