Blitz use in-house toolset ‘Flame’ in the development of Zombie game ‘Possession’…

With the inaugural European Games Network (EGN) due to open its doors next week in London’s Docklands, Indie developers Blitz Games have announced that they are to unveil their in-house toolset called ‘Flame’, which has been used in the development of their forthcoming horror game, Possession.

Blitz claim that the package is, “designed to provide detailed control and implementation of materials, shaders and lighting effects,” and is the latest component to be added to Blitzware, the company’s “exclusive core technology.”

In the context of Possession, the system allows for “real-time skin degradation in the zombies with the use of multiple-layered texture and normal maps,” exciting stuff we’re sure you’ll agree and should allow for the creation of some truly outstanding visual effects.
