With the Japanese release of Emerald in the next few weeks, TVG looks at some of the new Tournaments available…

The Pokemon phenomenon continues to rumble on with the latest edition in the franchise to be released in Japan on September 16th, although a European date has yet to be announced.

What has been announced, are the two new types of tournament available to players, namely Battle Arena and Battle Factory.

Battle Arena requires you to pick three of your Pokemon to go up against a single Pokemon. From there, each of your chosen Pocket Monsters has a single chance to beat the opposing Pokemon. If they canâ??t accomplish this, then the winner is decided upon by a panel of judges.

Battle Factory seems to be that little more interesting. In this tournament, Pokemonâ??s are created, but are given random attributes, that with all probability, you wonâ??t be familiar with. What you may have an understanding of; however, are the maximum and minimum attributes for different Pokemon. From there, you may be able to deduce broadly, which Pokemon can go up against another â?“ and winâ?¦

TVG will have more details on Pokemon Emerald soonâ?¦
