The first true Pokemon title for DS arriving in July, but get yourself down to GAME to unlock the Manaphy Egg...

Already maintaining the phenomenal success of Pokemon across Japan and North America, Pikachu loving Europeans won't have too long to wait before the first true Pokemon title(s) arrives on the Nintendo DS.

Confirming a July 27th release for Pokemon Pearl and Pokemon Diamond, both titles promise a return to the classic collecting and battling action, whilst introducing 3D visuals and taking advantage of the DS' touch-screen, microphone and Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection capabilities. Taking advantage of the GBA slot, DS owners can import Pokemon from previous titles in the series, including Ruby, Sapphire, Fire Red, Leaf Green and Emerald.

Additionally, those who've completed the Manaphy Egg mission in the recently-released Pokemon Ranger, will be able to transfer the egg into Pokemon Diamond/Pearl upon where it will hatch. To do so, you'll have to visit any GAME store across the UK on June 2nd with your copy of Pokemon Rnager to receive a chocolate PokeBall containing a unique code to unlock the 'Prince of the Ocean'.
