Speaking at a Nintendo conference, Satoru Iwata confirms a likely release period for Pokemon Wii in Japan...
Having been confirmed in Japanese publication Famitsu in March, Nintendo boss Satoru Iwata has stated that the Pokemon will be making their appearance on Nintendo Wii a few months after the release of Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl, which are set for release on Nintendo DS in Japan during the Autumn.
Entitled Pokemon Battle Revolution (it's nice to see the old Wii codename used at times), the game will be an example of the Wii/DS connectivity offered by the two platforms. The touch-screen capabilities of the DS will be functional with the Wii, whilst the next-gen home console will allow players to view their pocket monsters on a TV screen amongst other features.
At the moment release periods for Pearl and Diamond in the UK are unknown, so it's unclear whether the three titles will be arriving here at a similar date or not.
We'll have more on all three Pokemon titles in the future...
