SCEE confirm UK release date and price details for the Playstation Network Adaptor Kit...

SCEE today confirmed its intentions to unveil the Playstation2 broadband network gaming service across the UK on June 11th.<br><br>To take your PS2 online you’ll need to have access to a PS2 (funnily enough) and a broadband connection. If you’ve met these two criteria you’ll need to purchase a Network Adaptor Kit comprising of Playstation2 Network Adaptor and the Network Adaptor Disc for a reasonable £24.99.<br><br>Currently there are only two games on offer; SOCOM: US Navy Seals supports the online service and includes the voice communication headset for £49.99, whilst the other game is Twisted Metal Black Online, available for £24.99 or in a bundle with the Playstation Network Adaptor Kit for £39.99.<br><br>Commenting on SCE UK's plans for the launch of PlayStation network gaming, Ray Maguire, Managing Director of SCE UK said, "The feedback from the broadband network gaming consumer trials was very positive.
