A supposed PS3 Slim model has been spotted on sale at an "underground market" in the Philippines...
What appears to be the long-rumoured PS3 Slim seems to have been spotted on sale in the Philippines according to a blurry clip (shown below) that's been doing the rounds on YouTube.
The clip, which has apparently been shot on an "ancient" phone with "very low memory", hails from UltimatePlayStation.com. In addition to the slimmed down profile, the console appears to house a new eject button, two USB ports, and a different logo style.
Previous reports have suggested that Sony is gearing up the still unannounced PS3 Slim for a summer launch in Japan, while other hearsay has pointed to an autumn release window in the West.

but people have come to accept the rrod its been happening for years now unlike the yellow light of death thats not because of unreliable parts but due to a firmware update, is this an indication that sony had tried to overclock the ps3 and may have had a stable overclock but releasing a firmware update with the overclock included may have caused the trapped gas in the circuit boards.

Actually we can still complain about the RROD because the xbox has a 54 percent failure rate compared to the PS3's 14.7

It's really a low failure rate when compared to Xbox's 45% failure rate in the earlier generations of systems.
A .5% deficiant rate is quite low and seems an acceptable rate for any product. It seems that if Sony can compensate these very few failures with replacement systems ect. then this would be a very small problem.
