PS3 European "Announcement" Delay News

Don't worry, it's the launch announcement we're on about and not the actual system...

Hints that an announcement regarding the European launch of the PlayStation 3 would be made later today have recently been shot down, as a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) source confirmed that the finer details from the announcement were still being finalised.

PS fanboys shouldn't have too much to fear as we understand this will not have any impact on the planned launch date (hinted from an inside source last week to TVG as being March 23rd), instead the announcement will likely shuffle towards the end of the week.

A .5% deficiant rate is quite low and seems an acceptable rate for any product. It seems that if Sony can compensate these very few failures with replacement systems ect. then this would be a very small problem.
