YouTube announces a partnership with Sony allowing PS3 users to upload in-game videos onto YouTube...
YouTube has announced a partnership with Sony which will allow PlayStation 3 users to upload in-game videos onto YouTube. Developers will now be able to include this feature in future games or add it to old titles via a network update.
According to YouTube's dev blog, the technology will allow gamers to capture footage of their in-game shenanigans on the PS3 and then upload a video of it onto the video website mega-hub. The feature has been made possible with YouTube's APIs and Tools, which were released last March.
Mainichi Issho, a Japanese PS3 game not yet released in the West, is the first title to take advantage of this opportunity. The game was released as a free download on the PS3's Japanese launch date and stars Sony of Japan's mascot, Toro.
It's a mixed bag of episodic content such as daily news broadcasts, lifestyle gameplay, artificial intelligence features, and mini-games. Following the Version X update to the game earlier this month (which coincided with the Firmware 2.35 release), it is now possible to upload captured videos from the game onto YouTube.

but people have come to accept the rrod its been happening for years now unlike the yellow light of death thats not because of unreliable parts but due to a firmware update, is this an indication that sony had tried to overclock the ps3 and may have had a stable overclock but releasing a firmware update with the overclock included may have caused the trapped gas in the circuit boards.

Actually we can still complain about the RROD because the xbox has a 54 percent failure rate compared to the PS3's 14.7

It's really a low failure rate when compared to Xbox's 45% failure rate in the earlier generations of systems.
A .5% deficiant rate is quite low and seems an acceptable rate for any product. It seems that if Sony can compensate these very few failures with replacement systems ect. then this would be a very small problem.
