Swedish GameStop database lists four 250GB PS3 Slim bundles that appear to be set for release next month...
As the evidence piles up in support of the rumoured 250GB PS3 Slim's existence, it's becoming painfully apparent that Sony's marketing department is sieve-like in its secrecy. Its track record so far this year, with the PS3 Slim and PSP Go leaks, is hardly exemplary.
Nonetheless, we'll go through the rigmarole of branding this news as rumour anyway. Once again, the subject is some alleged bundles for the 250GB PS3 Slim, which this time includes the likes of FIFA 10, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time, Need For Speed Shift, and Uncharted 2.
The image above (courtesy of Kotaku) is from a Swedish GameStop database apparently, and clearly lists 250GB PS3 Slim bundles for release on October 2nd (that date is undoubtedly subject to change, particularly as Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted 2 won't even be out by then).
The price listed is 4,499 Krona (roughly £400). Last week, a UK retail source indicated that three bundles for a 250GB PS3 Slim are inbound. These will all seemingly be priced at £299.99 and the three games mentioned were Assassin's Creed II, Uncharted 2, and Gran Turismo 5.

but people have come to accept the rrod its been happening for years now unlike the yellow light of death thats not because of unreliable parts but due to a firmware update, is this an indication that sony had tried to overclock the ps3 and may have had a stable overclock but releasing a firmware update with the overclock included may have caused the trapped gas in the circuit boards.

Actually we can still complain about the RROD because the xbox has a 54 percent failure rate compared to the PS3's 14.7

It's really a low failure rate when compared to Xbox's 45% failure rate in the earlier generations of systems.
A .5% deficiant rate is quite low and seems an acceptable rate for any product. It seems that if Sony can compensate these very few failures with replacement systems ect. then this would be a very small problem.
