Kojima-san Points At Next-Gen 'Individualism' News

Why go out for a burger when you can have steak at home...

PlayStation 3

In an interview with Boomtown, the man behind Solid Snake has revealed his thoughts on the next-generation consoles. Using an allegory that has left us all rather hungry, Kojima-san has compared the three next-generation consoles to â??â?¦individualistic dinners.â?

Airing his concern that not every developer will be able to attain the standard in their games expected by Sony for the PlayStation 3, Kojima-san states that the PS3 is, â??â?¦like a dinner that you only have once a year or twice a year on your anniversary.â? Continuing with the culinary theme, Kojima-san continued, saying, â??Xbox 360 will still be a special dinner so you might go there two or three times a month on the weekend or something. Revolution is the kind of great dinner that you have everyday at your home.â?

After much debate over the deciphering of his deep thoughts, it appears that Kojima-san is referring to the consistency of titles that will fully exploit the expectations of the various systems. Essentially stating that he expects only one or two titles a year to hit the mark on PlayStation 3, the MGS creator is of the opinion that games which will fully exploit the Xbox 360 and Revolution will be more frequent, with Nintendoâ??s machine really emphasising the quick and fun nature of games â?“ which is certainly Nintendoâ??s strategy for the console.

There was however one final twist in the interview that has left us wondering whether going for a steak is too much hassle in the first place, as Kojima-san ponders, â??â?¦where can I have this dinner - number of restaurants, is it near my house or do I have to take a cab or train or bus? I think the battle amongst the next-gen platforms lies in that area.â?

Weâ??ll have the bus number and the train times ready for you shortly...

but if activision goes the ps3 will start to look like the sega saturn or the dreamcast (supprisingly both sega consoles lost developers cause sony was throwing it money around now it looks like the same fate is happening to sony thanks to microsoft and nintendo),

just cause its the most powerfull dont meen its the best if that what all ps3 fanboys will say there all hypocrits when the first xbox was miles more powerfull than the ps2 yet the fanboys said the ps2 was better ???.

all i can say is hard luck and finally solid proof the ps3 isnt winning the next gen consoles.

I've had my PS2 for over 7 years. Still works like a charm, and I play it whenever I get a chance to. Sony makes quality products that last a very long time. When the PS3 goes down to $299.99, I'll be purchasing it. I want one now...but c'mon, $399.99!? Have mercy, Sony.

do you know something if sony had told the world gamers that gt 5 was not coming out until 2009/2010/2011 do you think they would have sold as many units ???? i think not.prologues my eye. waste of time and £22.95p.i bought mine on the day of release,it sits there gathering dust.what a waste of £500.but bet your bottom dollar when gt 5 does arrive you wont find a ps3 except on the bay for the price of a decent family car.develepors get your fingers out and release what i hope is going to be the best driving sim of all time.
