Konami confirms that the limited edition gunmetal grey PS3 bundle for MGS4 won't be coming to the UK...
Konami has confirmed that the limited edition gunmetal grey PS3, which has been released as part of a Metal Gear Solid bundle in Japan and the US, won't be coming to the UK marketplace.
The Japanese publisher told Eurogamer that the gunmetal grey PS3 bundle won't be coming to the UK, while reiterating that "The only bundle we are doing is the Play.com special edition with figurine."
The Play.com Special Edition of MGS4 is set to retail at £79.99 and will feature a Solid Snake figurine, CD soundtrack, and 'The Making of MGS4' Blu-ray disc.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the Atlantic, US gamers are having trouble placing pre-orders for their gunmetal grey PS3 bundles via the Konami website. According to Kotaku, the Konami site was spewing out 503 errors (which denote either a server, network, or bandwidth problem) yesterday to customers who were attempting to pre-order the item.
It certainly wouldn't be surprising if this was due to a large demand for the product clogging up the site, as this very limited edition PS3 bundle sold out on the Japanese Konami site over a month ago.

but people have come to accept the rrod its been happening for years now unlike the yellow light of death thats not because of unreliable parts but due to a firmware update, is this an indication that sony had tried to overclock the ps3 and may have had a stable overclock but releasing a firmware update with the overclock included may have caused the trapped gas in the circuit boards.

Actually we can still complain about the RROD because the xbox has a 54 percent failure rate compared to the PS3's 14.7

It's really a low failure rate when compared to Xbox's 45% failure rate in the earlier generations of systems.
A .5% deficiant rate is quite low and seems an acceptable rate for any product. It seems that if Sony can compensate these very few failures with replacement systems ect. then this would be a very small problem.
