A new peripheral looking suspiciously like a VR headset has been announced for the Playstation2, first details + screens inside…
Sony today announced details of a new peripheral for the Playstation2. The PUD-J5A resembles a virtual reality visor, allowing players to look around within games made specifically for the product. The device will go on sale from September 26th and will cost 59,800 Yen (~£320), and can only be purchased from the official Playstation site.

Sony used a flight simulator currently in development at Taito along with help from Lockheed Martin to show the peripheral in action. Energy Airforce, due to go on sale alongside the peripheral, allows players to actually move their view from the cockpit via their head movements monitored by the device.

Sony are presently sending the device out to other developers in the hope of drumming up more support, which they’ll have to do if they don’t want this becoming yet another expensive add-on heading toward the rubbish heap. The visor is set to make its first public appearance at the forthcoming Tokyo Game Show, weher we’ll bring you further details.
This is their peak because of MGS4, Halo 3 did the same thing but in much larger numbers. 360 has a sick holiday lineup and they will cut the price by a hundred bucks. Then theres the new Xbox Live with Netflix and possibly a FREE Xbox Live by then. Resistance isn't enough to stop it.
