Acclaim set to publish Virtua Tennis 2, Virtua Cop: Elite Edition and Sega Bass Fishing Duel in Europe on the PS2...
Acclaim today announced an agreement with Sega to publish three titles in Europe. Currently Sega have no base in Europe and use both Infogrames and Sony to publish their Xbox, GameCube and Playstation2 titles respectively. The new deal grants Acclaim the rights to Virtua Tennis 2, Virtua Cop: Elite Edition and Sega Bass Fishing Duel, all on the Playstation2.

Both Virtua Tennis 2 and Virtua Cop: Elite Edition are due for release in November, Sega Bass Fishing Duel is due to follow later in Q1 2003.

“We’re very excited about this new agreement with Sega. These are great titles, proven arcade hits and they were all developed by Sega’s own studios, which rank among the finest in the world. Individually they have garnered much praise from the world’s gaming press and we’re certain that PlayStation 2 gamers are going to be thrilled at the prospect of being able to play them on their own consoles soon.” said Acclaim International President, COO Rod Cousens. “We are honoured to be the company Sega trusts to bring these coveted licenses to the PlayStation 2.”
This is their peak because of MGS4, Halo 3 did the same thing but in much larger numbers. 360 has a sick holiday lineup and they will cut the price by a hundred bucks. Then theres the new Xbox Live with Netflix and possibly a FREE Xbox Live by then. Resistance isn't enough to stop it.
