SCEA confirm that they have dropped a trademark application for 'Shock & Awe'...
Having registered the trademark ‘Shock & Awe’ the day the war in Iraq began, SCEA today confirmed that it has withdrawn the application amidst growing criticism.<br><br>SCEA issued the following comment on the subject:<br><br>“Sony Corporation and SCEI management concurs with the views of those who have expressed strong criticisms regarding the conduct by the subsidiary. It was an exercise of regrettable bad judgement in that it disregarded the context in which the term has been used. SCEA will withdraw this application. Steps will be taken to heighten awareness throughout the Sony Group so as not to repeat such issues.”

This is their peak because of MGS4, Halo 3 did the same thing but in much larger numbers. 360 has a sick holiday lineup and they will cut the price by a hundred bucks. Then theres the new Xbox Live with Netflix and possibly a FREE Xbox Live by then. Resistance isn't enough to stop it.
