Reports suggest that the man behind the PSOne & Playstation2 could soon become the next chairman of Sony Corporation.
Sony today announced that its chairman, Norio Ohga, would resign as of today because of ill health; Ohga suffered a brain haemorrhage in November 2001 and collapsed while conducting the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra in Beijing. He fell into a coma for three months, but he eventually recovered the ability to speak and move.<br><br>"I have absolutely no regrets about my years at Sony," Mr. Ohga said. "But I feel quite hesitant to stay at the top of Sony's management. I'd like to retire from the front line."<br><br>Nobiyuki Idei, Sony's Chief Executive, will replace him until the regular shareholder's meeting in June; however it’s been claimed that Ken Kutaragi could take his place as Chairman of Sony Corporation. It’s believed that Sony awards its ‘mavericks’, and the risk that Kutaragi has taken building the Playstation brand has impressed everyone at the firm; Sonmy recentyl announced that Playstation software sales make up a third of their annual turnover.

This is their peak because of MGS4, Halo 3 did the same thing but in much larger numbers. 360 has a sick holiday lineup and they will cut the price by a hundred bucks. Then theres the new Xbox Live with Netflix and possibly a FREE Xbox Live by then. Resistance isn't enough to stop it.
