7 Studios' story of Jack Sparrow's adventures in the first movie are snapped up for publishing in Europe...

Ubisoft has today announced an agreement with Bethesda Softworks to publish the PlayStation2 and PC title, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow. The game, an action/adventure title that follows the events of the first movie from the perspective of the pirate (didn't the movie do that anyway?), is currently under-development at 7 Studios who helmed last year's adaptation of the Fantastic 4 movie.

"Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow brings an exotic blend of action and adventure that captures the colorful characters and spirit of the first movie," said Alain Corre, Executive Director at Ubisoft, EMEA territories.
