Nintendo reveals an all-new PilotWings experience set in the lush Wutu Island of Wii Sports Resort...

Until yesterday, PilotWings was one of those classic Nintendo games that the company appeared to have forgotten in the wake of its casual gaming juggernaut. But that was before it announced its 3DS and won hardcore gamers back to its cause with a number of classic Nintendo titles for the platform including PilotWings!

Now, as further details have emerged, it's become apparent that this is an all-new PilotWings experience set in Wutu Island, the location for popular Wii games such as Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit. Fittingly, this new PilotWings game has been called PilotWings Resort.

Gamers will be able to fly planes, hang gliders, and even jet packs in the game, which will dish out its gameplay experience through a mix of modes for both casual and more experienced players depending on whether they want a leisurely flight or to compete for points/against the clock.

More as we get it but, in the meantime, take a look at the other 31 titles (Yes, that's right, 31) that Nintendo has waiting in the wings for its 3DS platform (see what we did there?).
