Nintendo reveal Pikmin 2 - First Screens + Details...

Shortly before Miyamoto sat down to answer all of our questions; a brief video showed a selection of new Gamecube titles in development and getting ready for release.<br><br>Amongst stunning new footage of F-Zero in action and more clips of Link in Soul Calibur 2 (something Nintendo seem to be very happy about); Nintendo chose to make the first ever appearance of Pikmin 2 and Kirby’s Big Air Ride.<br><br>Pikmin 2 backs Nintendo’s recent stance of refinement and appears to be virtually identical in terms of gameplay and visuals to last years hit. Of course the big innovation comes in the way of a split-screen two-player mode, which we brought you details of last week. It appears that Olimar’s pal, Loopy will be joining the quest for co-op and a range of multiplayer modes. Other areas that we noticed indicate that characters will be able to pick up items in the sequel, with one scene showing Olimar picking up a rubber ducky!!!
